Arrival in Paris

A private driver greets you at the Paris airport and transfers you to your hotel in the heart of the capital. Take advantage of the remaining hours of the day to stroll through the city and absorb its unmistakable atmosphere.

Versailles - Paris

This morning, your guide meets you at your hotel. Together, you take the RER train to Versailles. As you exit the station and walk along the grand avenue, the Palace of Versailles comes into view, its gilded gates gleaming in gold leaf.

The Palace of Versailles is the ultimate symbol of French refinement and royal power. Once home to the kings of France, it impresses with its opulent state apartments, the legendary Hall of Mirrors, and André Le Nôtre’s perfectly manicured French gardens. A visit here is both majestic and deeply historic.

Your guide leads you through this extraordinary masterpiece. In the early afternoon, after the guided tour concludes, you may either return to Paris together or remain to explore the gardens independently before heading back later at your leisure.

Enjoy a final free morning in Paris. Wander through Montmartre and Sacré-Cœur, stroll the Champs-Élysées to the Arc de Triomphe, or admire the Eiffel Tower from Trocadéro.

 

In the afternoon, take the train to Avignon, the starting point of your cycling adventure. A former papal city, Avignon reveals its history at every corner. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it captivates visitors with the Palace of the Popes, one of the largest Gothic complexes in Europe, its remarkably preserved medieval ramparts, and the famous Pont Saint-Bénézet. At the same time, Avignon is lively and inviting, animated by Provençal markets and riverside charm.

Avignon - Orange

After breakfast, meet our team at 9:30 AM at your hotel for bike fitting and a welcome briefing. You then set off toward the Rhône’s largest island, a lush haven dotted with orchards and olive groves.

The route follows quiet country roads. Along the way, you reach Châteauneuf-du-Pape, birthplace of one of France’s most prestigious wines. Wine enthusiasts may enjoy an optional tasting while learning how the region’s signature rounded stones and the mistral wind shape these distinctive vintages.

Continue to Orange, a fascinating Roman city. Take time to visit its remarkably preserved Ancient Theater and triumphal arch, powerful reminders of its glorious past.

By air
Paris has two main international airports: Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and Paris Orly Airport.

By train
Paris is served by several major railway stations, including Gare de Lyon, Gare du Nord, Gare Montparnasse, and Gare Saint-Lazare. National and international rail networks make it easy to reach the capital.

Return travel from Nice is not arranged by us. Each participant is therefore free to plan their departure according to their preferences and schedule.

If you need recommendations to organize your return or extend your stay in France, please feel free to contact us.

On the fourth or fifth day of your trip, we will deliver your rental bikes to the hotel. They will be adjusted to your height and equipped with:

  • A front bag
  • A rear bag
  • A helmet (on request)
  • A repair kit

For this trip, you can choose from the following rental options:

To allow you to fully enjoy your cycling journey without worrying about your belongings, we organize luggage transfers at each stage:

  • Please leave your luggage at the hotel reception before 9:00 a.m.
  • Our driver will collect your luggage and deliver it to your next accommodation.
  • You’ll collect them upon arrival, no later than 6:00 p.m.

Each rental bike comes equipped with a rear pannier, perfect for carrying your daily essentials. If you plan to arrive at your next accommodation before 5:00 PM, we recommend packing a change of clothes or an extra outfit in your rear bag.

To support you throughout your journey, we provide a dedicated GPS app. It allows you to follow each stage of your cycling itinerary independently, right from your smartphone.

Before departure, you’ll receive a link to download the app and access your routes. Once on site, simply open the day’s ride and let it guide you. Your map, turn-by-turn directions, and points of interest appear in real time.

In addition to the GPS app, you will receive a printed roadbook upon arrival, including maps, practical tips, and sightseeing information. An essential companion to slip into your panniers!
